Best Keto Low Carb Chips for Dipping
In this video I’m going to show you how to use one of my absolute favorite keto diet MUST HAVES! These are the best keto and low carb tortilla chips!! I make a big batch and then use them with all kinds of dips for a quick snack or meal. I’ve even snuck them into mexican restaurants so I don’t miss out at all on the full restaurant experience. If anyone in the restaurant questions you just tell them you have an allergy (to carbs!)
These are not strict keto – but because of the carb count they would fit into a dirty keto lifestyle. All of the terms can be confusing at first but I wrote a whole blog post that explains what the dirty keto diet is and what the rules are for it.
These low carb chips are really close to the real thing and they helped me stay on track when I first making the transition to a lower carb lifestyle. An even lower carb alternative – and one that fits into a strict keto diet are these keto cheese crackers – which make a great keto friendly snack as well!
Keto Chip Directions
It is so easy to make these chips. You take a low carb Joseph’s flax oat bran whole grain lavash bread and cut it into small pieces. A pizza cutter and a cutting board does this job quickly but you can just tear it too. Then simply flash fry it in your favorite oil.
The best oils to use in cooking for the keto diet are: sesame oil, avocado oil, coconut oil & extra virgin olive oil. I like to use coconut oil, which is a great pantry staple for the keto diet. Coconut oil is popular in keto diets because it can help speed up your weight loss. Unlike some other oils, coconut oil is high in MCT’s which are converted to energy quicker in the body. This means they are used up instead of stored….on your thighs.
Storing your Keto Chips
Your can store any leftover chips in an airtight container on the countertop for a couple of days – but they usually don’t last that long. The containers I use and swear by are by lock & lock.
Low Carb Dips for your Keto Chips
There are so many keto friendly dips that you can use with these chips! As always, check the label on your dip for added sugar and double check the carb count per serving before you buy. Sneaky carbs are everywhere!
