Best Keto Books + Cookbooks on Amazon

by Heather Hooker

Back when I first started looking into Keto there were NOT a bunch of books, cookbooks, and resources for learning more about it but because this lifestyle has caught on like wild fire there are new ones coming out every day.  With so many people experiencing the benefits of being in ketosis: more energy, better skin, better mood, 10x fat loss, less hunger, less cravings, decreased cancer risk – its not hard to see why!!

Here is my list of the BEST Keto Books and Cookbooks on Amazon to help you learn more about keto and get started with this high fat low carb lifestyle. Listed in order of my personal favorite to least favorite but still great resources. I’m also linking to some free keto kindle books below if you scroll all the way down. 🙂

The Bulletproof Diet – Lose Up To A Pound A Day, Reclaim Energy and Focus, Upgrade Your Life

  • Pros – Written by a credible resource – the creator of Bulletproof was a tech success who followed the standard recommended guidelines and kept getting sicker and fatter. He decided to take matters into his own hands and became his own guinea pig to find out how to biohack your body. The Bulletproof Diet book includes recipes, meal plans, and a handy YES/NO list of foods to eat and foods to avoid.
  • Cons – Bulletproof is a slightly more restrictive approach to keto.

The Keto Reset Diet

  • Pros – Written by a credible resource – Mark Sisson is a founder of the Paleo movement.
  • Cons – Mark recommends a restrictive approach eating only ‘clean foods’ which is great in theory but difficult for most people to do 24/7/365.

The Keto Diet by Leanne Vogel

  • Pros – TONS of pictures – the whole book is colorful and packed with diagrams on everything. There are a lot of unique recipes as well.
  • Cons – This book is confusing because it gives such a complete overview of the many, many different ways to keto that it ends up saying one thing and then saying the opposite on the  next page. If you want a simple breakdown of keto this is not it.

Keto Clarity by Jimmy Moore

  • Pros – the OG keto book! This book explains some of the science-y stuff and also has recipes in the back. The author has lost over 100 lbs with this WOE and is a credible resource.
  • Cons – No pictures. Some of the recipes are not very appealing.
