When I first started hearing about keto and intermittent fasting – I understood the benefits. I need more energy, the focus to be able to cross all the things off my to do list, I wanted to be able to fall asleep at night fast and sleep through the night without waking up at 3:27am. There were areas around my waist that three years of 6 day a week workouts and ‘eating clean’ didn’t even get closed to!! My rosacea was out of control, anxiety through the roof. I WAS A MESS!! And I knew, holistically that something had to give and my personal MO is that if somethings feeling off – its time to take a closer look at what you are eating.
Keto = Better mood, more energy, less cravings, decreased appetite, better sleep and better mood. The “keto kalm” ahhhh…….
But I had a really hard time making the actual switch. Nobody that I knew in my real life was doing it and every website I googled told me something different. I ate bacon for a long weekend, gained 5 lbs and decided that this keto KRAP was for the birds!! It didn’t work for me!
But I couldn’t. I knew that I couldn’t go back to what I had been doing before because that ALSO wasn’t working for me. I just needed a little bit more guidance from a busy mom like me who had actually done keto and felt this amazing ‘ketosis’ that I kept hearing about.
